Does Moonlit require an account?
No. Moonlit has no account, login, cloud profile, advertising, analytics, or subscription. Open the app and begin reading immediately.
Can I read without an internet connection?
Yes. The complete Quran text, English translation of the meaning, search index, and all core reading features are included in the app.
Which English translation does Moonlit use?
Moonlit uses Marmaduke Pickthall’s 1930 English translation, The Meaning of the Glorious Koran. The app clearly labels it as a translation of the meaning.
Can I read the Arabic text?
Yes. Arabic is optional and can be shown beneath the English translation, with right-to-left layout and preserved diacritics.
Where are my notes and reading progress stored?
Bookmarks, highlights, notes, preferences, and reading position are stored locally on your device. We cannot view them. Removing the app may remove this data.
Which devices are supported?
Moonlit is designed for iPhone and iPad and currently requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.
Privacy
